Easy Baked Cabbage Alfredo

This is an unexpected cabbage side dish you will make time and again.

This creamy dish is giving serious pasta Alfredo vibes minus the carbs. We couldn’t stop eating it and I just kept making it all week long. Did I mention its just toss in the pan and go. The prep work was so simple and I loved it!

Equipment

  • 9×13 baking dish

Ingredients

  • 1 small green cabbage, cored + sliced into thick strips, then halved
  • 1 large shallot, sliced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp DanO's Spicy Seasoning (or chili powder)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 tbs heavy cream
  • 2 tbs salted butter, cut into 4 pieces

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350℉.
  • To a 9×13 inch baking dish transfer your cabbage pieces, spread out the shallot slices, then sprinkle evenly with garlic powder, chili powder, salt and pepper to taste. Pour over the heavy cream evenly and top with the pats of butter. Cover the dish tightly and bake for 45 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and mix everything. It might look watery but sauce will thicken. Serve with sauce and extra freshly cracked black pepper.
